- 1971 - 1975
- University of Osaka, Osaka, Japan
- 1975 - 1980
- University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- 1980 - 1993
- Senior Researcher, Systems Development Laboratory, Hitachi Ltd.
- I worked in the field of semiconductor process technologies. My research interests were in process control, thermal analysis of wafers, computational fluid mechanics, etc. for semiconductor fabrication processes.
- 1993 - 2016
- Professor, Chiba University, Chiba, Japan
- I investigate the new field of nonlinear systems (neural networks, chaos, fractal analysis, self-organized criticality, independent component analysis, etc.). I create analytical and numerical methods of description and time evolution of complex systems, and apply these methods to real world. It is my main effort to extend the scope of the problems over which these methods hold, to extend the methods themselves developing appropriate technologies and to improve these methods for extracting such information from actual studies on time series data, image processing, neural networks, earthquakes, urban developments, finance, etc.
- 2016 - present
- Professor, Shumei University, Chiba, Japan
